Sequoia Sheds Offers Newly Designed, Larger Storage Solutions

Storage sheds over 120 square feet require a building permit throughout most of California. Sequoia Sheds, a shed builder local to Tehama County, has followed suit, building sheds below the building permit limit. However, they are now offering structures over the previous limit.

These larger sheds, in sizes ranging between 120 and 240 square feet, are currently only available to customers living in Tehama County. Via their website, Sequoia Sheds states, “We will help you get the building permit, and offer the service of building a pad for the shed. We will then deliver and anchor the shed for you.”

As always, they still offer shed styles below 120 square feet throughout Northern California but hope to expand operations to include larger structures outside of Tehama County.

Building codes within California are updated every three years, with the most recent changes published July 1, 2025, but will not go into effect until January 1, 2026. Certain documents regarding the updated code have yet to be released via their website, so it is unclear who and what could be affected by the recent changes.
