There is no doubt that this year has been full of uncertainty and changes. Things have begun to open back up following the COVID-19 shutdown, however, there are many avenues that still present difficulty and need for caution in returning to business as normal. All over the world we are seeing how businesses, associations, and entire industries are affected by this pandemic.
A great example of this is how APRO has recently decided to cancel its fall convention in Tampa. They are planning a virtual type program in place of their “in-person” trade show and convention.
There are many factors that contributed to the NBSRA Executive Board’s decision to cancel our Annual Conference, previously scheduled for October 2020. We care about the safety and well-being of each of our members and their employees.
In addition, it is the goal of the NBSRA Board to continually give the same caliber of quality, education, and professionalism each year that we have come to expect from our NBSRA Conferences. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a situation that can hinder that possibility with so many roadblocks from COVID-19 changes and we do not want to do a disservice to any of our members.
We are still uncertain of what the future holds in the aftermath of COVID-19 for businesses and individuals alike, but we must be willing to demonstrate flexibility, resolve and ingenuity on a whole new scale. Learning to maneuver new avenues and embrace change will be very important in near future.
Thank you all for your continued support of the NBSRA vision and mission and we would love to hear any feedback you have on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NBSRA-112444000448711). As always, any industry news, questions or suggestions are encouraged!
