Builder Creates Farmhouse Tribute

The American farmhouse is part of the fabric of the United States.

Weaver Barns in Sugarcreek, Ohio, has built a tribute to this piece of Americana with its Urban Farmhouse. The company debuted the home in February at the Great Big Home and Garden show in Cleveland.

The company says the experience starts with a classic covered front porch, inviting visitors to enjoy the solitude of country living from the sitting area and front porch swing.

The home is bathed in natural light thanks to large windows throughout – with an open first floor plan that includes a living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom, laundry and utility room. The upstairs includes two additional bedrooms and a bathroom.

The Urban Farm House is 1800 square feet of pure country bliss, with a lot of modern conveniences built in, according to Weaver Barns.

The 9-foot ceilings give a spacious feel to the rooms, and options like solid wood floors, stainless steel kitchen counter tops and ship-lap walls and ceilings bring a modern touch to the home.
