Denver, Colorado-based manufacturer Tuff Shed reports that it has added space to its Garden Ranch shed for its customers—without increasing its footprint.
The company achieved this by adding 4 inches to the exterior sidewall height from 6 feet tall to 6 feet, 4 inches.
“Think more pegboard, more shelving, and better organization,” the company says. “If [customers] have to limit the footprint of [their] shed, this height increase grants … a little extra room.”
Tuff Shed adds that the increased height may also improve the customer experience because backyard building can feel more spacious with increased headroom. More height also allows for higher clearance for tall items like ladders, trimmers, recreational gear, and more.
The company says that while the Garden Ranch may be taller, it’s still outfitted with quality features, like ¾-inch, interlocking OSB floor decking, a patented steel-reinforced shed door (placed on the end wall), and patented locking handle and ultra-heavy-duty hinges.
With 2 by 4 studs spaced 24 inches on-center, double top plates on sidewalls, a 4/12 roof pitch, and 2 by 4 rafters joined with steel plates, Tuff Shed says the enhanced Garden Ranch is still a budget-friendly, premium backyard building.
