Garrison Brothers Distillery, the first and oldest legal whiskey distillery in Texas, has partnered with Tuff Shed Inc. to create a one-of-a-kind backyard bourbon barn.
In May, Tuff Shed delivered and installed the shed at the distillery in Hye, Texas, and Garrison Brothers designed and built the bourbon-inspired interior.
The 10 x 12 Garrison Brothers Tuff Shed Backyard Bourbon Barn is based on Tuff Shed’s PRO Tall Ranch model and is decked out with custom features such as a clerestory roof, metal roofing, double doors with built-in transom windows, and a sleek, exterior paint color scheme.
Inside, it’s finished like a private Hill Country bourbon retreat, with barn wood siding, a finished floor, a 6-foot bar, shelves, a leather chair, a leather sofa, and Garrison Brothers collectible memorabilia. A custom LED sign and warm bourbon-inspired details complete the space, making it feel less like a backyard storage shed and more like a handcrafted Texas whiskey hideaway.
“We’re fond of saying that Tuff Shed buildings have a million uses,” says Phil Worth, Tuff Shed’s vice president of marketing. “Customers send us their photos of how they’ve transformed their Tuff Shed into a home office, home gym, craft studio, rec room, reading nook … you name it.

Through the end of September, guests visiting the distillery for tours and special events can step inside the finished shed, look around, and experience the Garrison Brothers Tuff Shed Backyard Bourbon Barn firsthand.
Eligible entrants living in one of the 46 participating states or Washington, D.C., can enter to win “The Garrison Brothers Tuff Shed Backyard Bourbon Barn Sweepstakes.” Tuff Shed will deliver and install the winner’s Backyard Bourbon Barn, and Garrison Brothers will finish out the branded interior.
