ShedHub.com is an online marketplace connecting buyers with shed manufacturers natoinwide, and since June, six companies have signed on with the service.
The most recent was Homestead Buildings, founded in 2021 by Myron Miller.
Homestead Buildings began as a small operation building sheds for a wholesaler before transitioning into selling directly to customers. Based in Bainbridge, New York, the company serves buyers within a 50-mile radius, offering both standard and fully custom sheds built by skilled Amish craftsmen.
In July, Eagle Buildings of Goshen, Marten Portable Buildings, and Oakland Structures joined.
Eagle Buildings of Goshen, Indiana, manufactures a wide range of structures, including barns, garden sheds, cabins, garages, greenhouses, lofted sheds, utility buildings, playhouses, and other portable buildings. All structures are built locally using wood and metal materials.
Marten Portable Buildings, a manufacturer of hand-built storage buildings based in the Midwest, is now listing inventory from four locations across Wisconsin. The company was founded in 1994 in Western Kentucky as a small, family-operated business. Since then, it has expanded its presence across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Founded in 2008 by Ryan Keller, Oakland Structures manufactures storage buildings at its facility in Burke County, Georgia. The company builds a range of structures, including A-frame sheds, garages, barns, cottage-style buildings, porch models, carriage houses, playhouses, and gazebos.
Signing onto the ShedHub platform in June were DANCO Buildings and Sunrise Structures.
Founded in 2008 by Chris and Sherita Daniels, DANCO Buildings (Daniels Portable Buildings, LLC) manufactures wood and metal portable structures for residential and auxiliary use, including utility sheds, garages, cabins, barns, pavilions, and specialized models such as wraparound porch cabins and dormer sheds. The company’s product catalog addresses a variety of residential and auxiliary needs, including storage, workspace, recreational use, and detached living quarters.
Sunrise Structures, which began in 1998 as Shirks Wood Products, initially specialized in wooden furniture components before shifting its focus to storage structures. By 2008, shed manufacturing became the company’s primary line of business, and in 2016, the business rebranded under the Sunrise Structures name. Today, the company operates eight locations across Michigan and Indiana and manufactures a variety of portable buildings, including sheds, barns, cabins, garages, and home office units.
