Ever since the pandemic, portable structure customers have been requesting more and more sheds built for unique uses.
Judson Hibner, director of sales for Esh Utility Buildings in Burkesville, Kentucky, shared two such options with Shed Business Journal.
What is the most creative portable structure you’ve created? What makes it stand out to you?
The stargazer is one of the creative structures we have done. It was actually a customer request.
The roof is retractable via a garage door opener to make for great stargazing opportunities.
How did you go about designing and building the structure or unique feature?
There was a lot of research and some trial and error until we came up with a solution that worked the best.
Is this structure/unique feature something you’ve added to your product offerings? Why?
We have not added it to our lineup. However, we have added the Nordic to our lineup.
One of our employees was from Canada and he had influence in helping introduce this Scandinavian-inspired look and design.
What creative portable structure options do you think might become popular in the next five years?
It will be interesting to see what direction this industry goes. I think it will become a portable structure industry more than a shed industry as there are more specific use case buildings being introduced into the market.
