Pro-Shed Buildings, based in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, suffered a massive fire Aug. 26, the company shared in a post on its website.
Most of the business, including the 40,000-square-foot production facility, its delivery trucks and trailers, and raw inventory were lost.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
When crews arrived at the site at 1:30 a.m., flames engulfed the 80- by 400-foot facility, which was used for production, storage, and office spaces. Six area fire departments responded to the call. The building had to be knocked down to put the fire out.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
The company is providing refunds for customers with open orders. For customers with a finished structure, Pro-Shed is using a third party to complete deliveries.
This is the second time in just over five years the company has had a facility fire.
Pro-Shed says that it is uncertain of its plans going forward.
“If the decision is made to re-build and start up again, production would likely not begin until late in 2022,” shares the company.
