Liberty Sheds, located in Due West, South Carolina, reports it has rebranded to Westwood Sheds LLC

In 2014, Liberty Sheds was formed in partnership with Liberty Storage Solutions of North Carolina, and in 2015, Liberty opened for business.

In 2022, partners Mike Yoder and Arlan Riehl, Due West locals, bought out the Liberty Storage partners who were not located in the area.

Yoder and Riehl say they are committed to developing a company that serves and develops their phenomenal Due West community, as well as the other communities they serve in South Carolina and Georgia.

The new name, “Westwood,” centers the company on Yoder and Riehl’s commitment to their town and its citizens. It also nods to the quality wood materials that Westwood Sheds uses to construct and craft many of its products.

“Westwood came out of our biggest ‘why’ for being in business,” says Yoder. “We believe that our biggest responsibility as business owners is to the people around us, as well as to continue being a positive presence in our community. We believe this is vital to our longevity as a business.

“We are not just a shed company. We build lives. We create space for life.”

Within the coming year, Yoder and Riehl aim to strengthen their economic impact on their local community through Westwood’s now exclusively local ownership.

Their manufacturing plant, headquartered in Due West, ensures that every dollar made will remain within the region. Employees and partners—from builders to sales reps, installers, and management—are composed of people who live and work in the areas they serve.

Employing more than 30 individuals currently, Westwood aims to expand employment opportunities in the future.

Westwood Sheds says its commitment is four-fold: community, growth, excellence, and family. It promises to build up its community through increased job opportunities and economic impact, all while pursuing growth potential for the company and excellence in all behaviors, products, and practices.

Together with its hometown, Westwood Sheds seeks to build healthier families and a stronger community.

With nearly 12,000 sheds manufactured to date, Westwood says its commitment to crafting top-quality sheds built for life with excellence and innovation will not change.
