Tuff Shed’s Denver, Colorado, team recently helped out the local Children’s Hospital in the fight against COVID-19.

The company says the hospital reached out with an urgent need for a building to help support drive-through testing for emergency workers. With the growing number of cases in the state, they wanted to put the new facility to use within two to three days.

“I had to take a deep breath when Children’s asked if they could have the building the next day,” says Tuff Shed Denver District Manager Josh Roffeis. “But it was an amazing challenge and I told my pre-fab team that nobody touches a stick of lumber for another build until the PACK was complete for this build.”

Tuff Shed says the Denver team designed, prefabricated, and installed the garage in less than 30 hours, even sourcing a pair of overheard doors. When finished, Children’s Hospital added everything needed to create a working facility.

“In short, this process will reduce patient morbidity and mortality, lead to better treatment decisions, and help keep our care givers safe,” says Jerrod Milton, senior vice president for Children’s Hospital. “I am so grateful that we have Tuff Shed as a resource for our community.”
