Dr. Sandeep Kumar has joined the Vroom Solar lead team as Board Advisor, tasked with bringing additional technical expertise to Vroom Solar’s first-of-a-kind Smart Solar Management technology to both refine design and drive lower manufacturing costs.
Vroom’s technology has been used to power sheds for manufacturers’ customers, from lawn equipment battery charging to supplying electricity for offices in finished structures.
Dr. Kumar is an experienced, seasoned, and well-rounded executive in the semiconductor industry. In his last position at Silicon Labs, based in Austin, Texas, he worked for over 18 years as senior vice president of worldwide operations.
At Silicon Labs, Dr. Kumar managed manufacturing, supply chain, planning, CAD, process engineering, package engineering, product and test engineering, quality assurance, failure analysis teams, as well as prototype production and reliability test labs. He has experience in driving cost reductions, technology, and global supply chain strategies, working closely with customers, design, marketing, and sales teams.
